
White, Salter Attend World's Largest Scientific Exhibition

PITTCON 2008
(New Orleans, March 1-5, 2008) Bill White, CEO of Offenberger & White, Inc. and Ron Salter, President of Salter and Associates, LLC, met with clients, editors, publishers and international industry executives during PITTCON, the world's largest exposition of analytical instrumentation, laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems in New Orleans March 1 - 5, 2008.

The 2008 conference marks the first opportunity for White and Salter to implement their strategic alliance in search of business development opportunities in emerging growth companies in global markets.
The annual conference included more than 1,100 technology companies and 15,000 investigative scientists, industrial researchers and technicians from around the world who work in life sciences, aerospace, biotechnology, drug discovery and alternative energy markets.
According to White, the PITTCON exhibition, always viewed as a leading technology indicator, confirms that private research and government funded resources are now being focused in two complementary areas -
· Energy efficiency and alternative energy development such as biofuels,
· Environmentally friendly “green” design.
White adds, “For more than 59 years this exhibition has been all about the future. What we saw in New Orleans is consistent with the latest and most desirable economic initiatives sought by the State of Ohio Department of Development in Southeastern Ohio, and the Wood County Area Roundtable Economic Development Initiative, West Virginia. We hope to add our expertise to this equation to help bring jobs to this area, and to support entrepreneurs who are strong on technology but need assistance in program development and marketing."
Salter said that the fundamentals of marketing and communications remain the same, regardless of media, geography, culture or language. “From my perspective, it's always been the role of advertising to discover and help sell the next greatest thing. Technology companies and their customers demand highly specific messages, but in the end, they are all consumers and must apply consumer marketing principles to the content we build and the pathways we use.”
